Prince Philip (born 10 June 1921) is the Duke of Edinburgh and the husband of Queen Elizabeth II. He has served in British Army, Royal Navy & Royal Air force from 1939 to 1952. Currently, on December 20, 2019, he was admitted to the King Edward VII hospital and got released on December 24, 2019.

In the royal family of Greece & Denmark, Prince Philip (98 years old) took birth in the year 1921. He was born on a Greek Island named Corfu in June 1921. Prince Andrew of Greece and Denmark is the father of Prince Philip. His mother is Princess Alice of Battenberg.
Prince is the only male child of his parents and has 4 elder sisters and their names are Sophie, Cecilie, Theodora, and Margarita. Philip was the prince of both Denmark and Greece because of his grandparents Christian IX of Denmark and George I of Greece.
After the Greco-Turkish war (1919-1922) the Turks benefitted and Prince Andrew got caught by them. The revolutionary court banned Philip’s father from Denmark. After getting banned from Denmark his whole family got evacuated by the HMS Calypso.
Then they went to France where his wealthy aunt and the granddaughter of Napoleon Bonaparte, Princess George of Greece and Denmark.
For his education, he has travelled to different countries and has studied in different schools. He started his schooling from the school named Elms, which is an American school. Then he moved to Cheam School in the UK but in 1933, he was sent to Germany and admitted to Schule Schloss Salem. At final he completed his schooling from Gordonstoun School in Scotland.
He studied till 1939 for his school education after this he joined Royal Naval College, Dartmouth.

On 20 December 2019, he was taken to the King Edward VII hospital for a routine check-up and body examination. He spent there around 4 days and on 24 December 2019 got released.
During this time his wife Queen Elizabeth II has not visited the hospital because she does not want to disturb other patients at the hospital.

When the prince was only 18 years old, King George VI with his two daughters visited Royal Naval College, Dartmouth where Prince Philip met Queen Elizabeth II and they both fell in love after this they started writing letters for each other. Elizabeth was only 13 years old at that time.
In 1946 Prince asked King for his daughter’s hand to which George agreed but laid a condition to postpone any formal ceremony till she becomes 21 years old.
On 10 July 1947 publicly their engagement got announced and on December 20, 1947, they got married & their wedding ceremony took place in Westminster Abbey, London. The same day he announced to be the Duke of Edinburgh, etc. after their marriage they became parents to four children Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew, and Prince Edward.

After Royal Naval College he started serving in the royal navy. He also participated in World War II. During the war, he was on battleship HMS Ramillies for around four months. After his marriage with Queen Elizabeth II, he was made the Duke of Edinburgh, Baron Greenwich & Earl of Merioneth. After his marriage, he returned in Navy and started performing the job of Admiralty. In 1949 he was made the lieutenant of the battleship named HMS chequers. In 1951 he got appointed in the Privy Council along with Queen.
At the age of 96, Prince Philip retired from Royal navy services in the year 2017 on 2nd August. Being a price and Duke he has celebrated his life in Supreme luxury.
